The
Catcher

He saw what the Secretary was hiding. Something he did not understand saw it first.

Ian Kirk stays behind the camera because the words will not come. At a wreath-laying in Washington, the Secretary of Homeland Security looks past the reporter and finds the man holding the lens. He cancels the interview. He asks who Ian is, and who he talks to . The same morning, an old Shoshone man paints his face above the Virgin River Gorge, turns his mule loose, and finishes a circle he has been walking all his life. Ian was raised to catch what other people miss. He does not yet know he has already been caught.
